Kabanda Lopa Chilekwa is a Business Law Lawyers with over 18 years’ experience advising clients in the Public and Private Sectors. Before becoming partner at CC Gabriel & Co Legal Practitioner worked at Development Bank of Zambia, Corpus Legal Practitioner and in the International Law and Agreements Department of the Ministry of Justice. She has worked extensively on several international and domestic transactions, involving a diverse range of issues in Commercial Transactions, Public Procurement, Construction, Employment, Public Private Partnerships and Investment Promotion and Protection.

Kabanda also has extensive negotiation experience having participated in numerous multilateral as well as bilateral negotiations covering a wide array of issues including Bilateral Trade and Investment Agreements, Bilateral Air Service Agreements and WTO law and dispute resolution. She has been legal advisor to the Zambian delegation at the United Nations General Assembly, International Civil Aviation Authority, African Union, SADC and COMESA.

Having served as DFI in-house Counsel, Kabanda has significant experience not only in providing corporate advisory but on conducting legal due diligence on SMEs and small businesses.
